The Reliquary — Pecky Cypress Edition

There are materials that are chosen. And there are those that are discovered. Pecky Cypress belongs to the latter—a timber shaped by nature’s own design, its vertical cavities formed through time into a grain of striking irregularity.

In The Reliquary, this rarity is disciplined into order. At 21.5" x 12.75" x 5.5", the case is built with locking miter joinery and rests upon a ⅜" black granite base, grounded and assured. Beneath, a suede-lined foundation protects what it touches; above, the surface is finished to a piano-gloss polish, where every filled void becomes part of a greater composition.

Each cavity has been hand-filled with black-pigmented epoxy, the contrast sharpened, the texture preserved. The magnetized lid closes with calm precision; the stainless-steel hinges, polished to fluid motion, honor movement as much as structure.

Capacity is defined with certainty: up to 175 cigars, housed within an environment as rare as the material itself.

This is not an accessory. It is an artifact of time and intention—a reliquary where natural rarity and modern mastery converge.
